THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
One design revision round is allowed for minor changes in spelling and wording. Any additional revisions will incur a $75 fee unless it is fault on my part. Once the final design has been approved, it will be sent to print.
From the time of your final design approval, there is a printing turnaround of 1-2 weeks, and an additional 1-2 weeks for any embellishments and assembly. Altogether, give 3-6 weeks from placing your order before your items are posted to you. Please note that any initial delay in providing details and wordings or feedback regarding your design draft will unfortunately set the timeline back. If you are tight for time and require an expedited order, please enquire.
Shipping fees are dependant on the weight of your order. These fees will only be charged to you before your order is ready to leave the studio. Small Brown Writes must receive your payment in full before your order is released to you.
A sturdy cardstock of excellent quality in soft white with an antique finish. Perfect for both digital printing and letterpress options.
Handmade Cotton Paper
An exquisite paper with a lot of character. It has a textured surface with soft, fluffy deckled edges. Perfect for both digital printing and letterpress options.
A classic and most economical printing method where ink is used to print your design directly onto cardstock/paper resulting in crisp and sharp images. Digital printing is available with both 350gsm cardstock and handmade cotton paper. However, please note that due to the imperfect nature of handmade paper, the print will not be as sharp as compared to print on cardstock. You will need to expect small areas where the ink will not fully adhere. This adds to the organic character of handmade paper and does not mean it is of any less quality but if you are looking for a very detailed, crisp print, consider using cardstock instead.
A beautiful old method of printing where metal plates are engraved with a design, then inked up and pressed onto card or thick paper. This results in debossed impressions on the card that is beautiful to the touch. Letterpress is available with both 350gsm cardstock and handmade paper.
The following colours work beautifully with both printing methods.
Eggwhite and Natural: These colours both have slight surface texture that exudes an elegant, classic feel
Ebony: Digital printing on this is possible but only in white ink
Other colours: Smooth finish
Black ink will be used on Eggwhite, Natural, Blush and Dove envelopes
White ink will be used on Cinder and Ebony envelopes
The option of black or white ink is available for Desert Blue, Ash and Cinder
If you have other ink colours in mind, please enquire.
